Dec 10, 2023 · I was originally looking at Oakland Marriott, but then noticed the Moxy had a Black Friday sale so rooms where only $100 including taxes and fees, so thought it was worth trying. I've stayed at a Moxy elsewhere before, so I sort of know what to expect. BART operates a vehicle from San Francisco International Airport to 12th Street / Oakland City Center every 10 minutes. Tickets cost $9 - $12 and the journey takes 43 min. Alternatively, SamTrans operates a bus from SFO Airport Terminal G-Lower Level to Mission St & 1st St every 30 minutes. Tickets cost $1 - $5 and the journey takes 1h 17m. The Moxy Oakland is brand new and is about $140+. More “trendy” than upscale, it is just 2 blocks from the 19th St BART station and 3 stops (15 mins) to SF.
