I find them a little richer and fuller (excluding the twang-to-shrill possibilities of a bright bridge pickup); Strats, on the other hand, to my ears have a softer attack, a more rounded, looser sound and a little more bounce. This results in weaker energy transfer and allows the strings to move around too much on top of the saddle during bends and vibrato. I could probably solve the bridge tilt problem by using a set of Tone-Pros locking posts, but I'd still have the wiggly saddles.
